Description
Treat patients as directed by a Physical Therapist. Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per PT Board regulations. Assist in maintaining the department and participate in patient care and rehabilitation conferences as needed. Help with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area. Follow physician treatment plans when treating patients. Assist the nursing department with training Restorative Aides. Communicate patient progress, issues, and plans with supervisors and team members. Participate in in-service training programs for staff. Record treatment changes according to policies and procedures. Educate patients' families and nursing staff on maintenance programs and caregiver training for discharge preparation. Report equipment issues to ensure proper maintenance. Demonstrate positive, effective, and appropriate interactions with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
Physical Demands
Must frequently stand, walk, reach, push, pull, talk, and hear. Ability to exert significant force occasionally and frequently. Ability to perform climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionally. Good vision, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, with the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
