Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Graduate from an accredited PTA program (CAPTE).
• At least one year PTA home health experience; mentoring possible for less than a year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under the direction of a PT in accordance with the plan of care.
• Observes and reports patient responses to treatment to supervising PT and clinical staff.
• Maintains documentation of supervisory activities in medical records.
• Monitors patient progress and documents response to therapy.
• Participates in care conferences, chart audits, and quality improvement activities.
