Job summary

TALENT Software Services in San Jose, CA seeks a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to assist the physical therapist, implement treatment plans, and support participant independence at the center and in home settings. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years PTA experience in clinical elderly care.
• Ability to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills in interdisciplinary settings.

Responsibilities

• Administer participant treatment programs as established by the physical therapist.
• Assist the physical therapist in obtaining vital signs, range of motion, and strength testing.
• Coordinate with rehabilitation team to implement activities based on treatment plans.
• Handle scheduling of participant treatments, visits, and billing.
• Deliver and document PT interventions to promote muscle re-education, balance, endurance, and ADLs.
• Provide training to staff, participants, and caregivers in equipment use and care.
• Track and manage maintenance for equipment.
• Maintain timely communication with supervisor about workload and priorities.
• Complete mandated trainings and health screenings as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
