Job summary

Ridgeway Post Acute in Petaluma, CA is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team on a part-time and PRN basis. The PTA works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents regain strength, mobility, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities include providing treatments, documenting progress, maintaining safety and infection control, and participating in care plan and rehab team meetings.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• CPR certification (preferred by state regulations).
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility or post-acute settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide PTA-directed physical therapy treatments under supervision.
• Document treatments, progress notes, and outcomes as required.
• Maintain safe treatment environment and infection control standards.
• Participate in care plan meetings and rehabilitation team conferences.
• Educate residents and families on therapy goals and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other therapists.
