Job summary

Valley Foot & Ankle Specialty Providers in Fresno, CA, is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our growing physical therapy department. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to advance patient rehabilitation.

We welcome both experienced PTAs and new graduates who are committed to compassionate, patient-centered care and collaborative team-based practice in a supportive clinic.

Qualifications

• Active California PTA license.
• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and care team.
• Positive, dependable, and patient-focused approach.
• Spanish-speaking candidates encouraged to apply.
• New graduates encouraged to apply.
• Outpatient experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, strengthening programs, and functional movement activities.
• Assist with mobility, gait, and balance training based on each patient's plan of care.
• Provide hands-on patient care within the PTA scope of practice.
• Educate patients on prescribed home exercises and strategies to support continued progress.
• Observe patient response to treatment and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation using the EMR system.
• Coordinate with Physical Therapists, providers, and clinic staff to support continuity of care.
