Job summary

Barrows Physical Therapy in Fresno, CA is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient team. You will work with a diverse caseload of orthopedic, sports, post-surgical, and chronic pain patients under the supervision of licensed physical therapists.

Responsibilities include following up with patients, helping plan and implement treatment, applying manual therapy and modalities, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for state licensure as a PTA.
• Outpatient experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Follow up with patients and guide exercises as directed by the PT.
• Assist in developing and implementing patient treatment plans.
• Apply therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, exercises, modalities, and patient education.
• Document patient progress in the EMR and report changes to the PT.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, pain management techniques, and care plans.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety.
