Job summary

STAR Physical Therapy is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Tennessee to join our expanding clinic network. You will perform therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, including modalities, therapeutic exercises, gait training, neuromuscular re-education, manual therapy, ADL training, and wound care as needed.

You will document patient progress, report outcomes to physicians, and guide PTA students and technicians while ensuring proficiency in core

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• Current TN PTA licensure and CPR certification required.
• Ability to work autonomously in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic interventions under PT supervision (modalities, exercises, gait training, manual therapy, ADL training).
• Record patient progress and response in medical charts.
• Report patient status to physicians and care team; monitor ROM, strength, and vitals.
• Instruct patients and families on home exercises and use of assistive devices.
• Provide guidance to PTA students and technicians; support QA and clinical education.
• Maintain proficiency in PT principles and techniques in daily practice.
