Job summary

STAR Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Tennessee. Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• New or recent graduates encouraged to apply.
• Current state licensure.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to work effectively in an autonomous environment.
• Proficient in EMR, database software, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic interventions under a PT, including modalities, exercises, gait and manual therapy.
• Document patient progress and treatment responses in medical charts.
• Communicate patient status to physicians; monitor ROM, strength, and vitals.
• Instruct patients and families on assistive devices and home programs.
• Mentor PTA students and technicians.
• Support quality assurance activities as directed.
• Maintain competency in PT principles and techniques.
• Hold current PTA license in the state of employment.
