Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide direct rehab under a licensed Physical Therapist. The role supports long-term and short-term rehabilitation in SNFs, aiding patients to achieve functional progress in a patient-centered environment.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited program (ASPT), active state licensure, CPR certification, and 1 year of experience preferred though new grads are welcome. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited physical therapy program (ASPT).
• Active license/registration in the applicable state and maintain good standing.
• CPR certification at hire or during orientation and to remain current.

Responsibilities

• Follow established physical therapy treatment plans under supervision.
• Chart patient progress timely and accurately.
• Utilize therapy software and assistive devices as directed.
• Communicate with the interdisciplinary team to plan patient care.
• Demonstrate proper body mechanics and patient handling.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
