Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to provide direct rehab care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This is a full-time position with Day shifts and a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

The PTA will follow treatment plans, document in therapy software, and collaborate with patients, families and other team members to support healing and safe, effective care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (ASPT).
• Active license in the applicable state and maintain good standing.
• 1 year of experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate.
• Liaises with patients, families, and support departments to plan for patient needs.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
• Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times.
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Knowledgeable of post-acute care laws, regulations, and guidelines.
• Implement and interpret the department's programs, goals, and procedures.
• Maintain patient rights, safety and sanitation in all tasks.
