Job summary
Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide direct rehab care in physical therapy for patients under the supervision of a licensed PT. The role requires graduation from an accredited program and current licensure in the state, with CPR certification on hire.
Experience is preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply. Responsibilities include following treatment plans, charting progress, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support patient
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (ASPT)
- Current license in good standing in the applicable state; CPR certification must be maintained
- One year of experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; good communication skills
Responsibilities
- Follow established physical therapy treatment plans under the supervising PT
- Accurately chart patient progress and maintain medical records
- Utilize therapy software as required to document sessions
- Provide excellent customer service with a patient-centered approach
- Assist in the safety and evacuation of patients when needed
- Maintain regular attendance and demonstrate professional conduct on shift
