Career Links is seeking an energetic and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing team. Working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based interventions designed to maximize residents’ mobility, function, and independence.

The role emphasizes teamwork with therapy and nursing staff, accurate progress documentation, and adherence to facility, state, and payer requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
• Current State PTA License (or eligibility for licensure).
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Compassionate approach to care with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with exercises, gait training, and functional mobility activities.
• Monitor and document residents’ progress toward treatment goals.
• Communicate effectively with the therapy team, nursing staff, and families regarding patient status and care needs.
• Ensure documentation meets facility, state, and payer requirements.
• Participate in team meetings, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Support the overall rehabilitation goals of the SNF with professionalism and compassion.
