Job summary

Bridgeway Health and Rehab is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Therapy Team. You will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to provide services and help residents participate in daily living activities.

Responsibilities include screenings, contributing to evaluation decisions, developing goals and treatment plans, and delivering individual and group therapy focusing on strength, mobility, balance, gait, and ROM.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.
• Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice.
• Commits to ongoing continuing education and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention/treatment.
• Identify indications for evaluations and assist in evaluation under the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in identifying target goals and treatment plans.
• Conduct individual and group therapy per treatment plan including strength, mobility, gait, balance, ROM, and modalities.
• Assist in selecting PT techniques/media and adapt as indicated by resident performance.

Education

Associate’s degree in physical therapy from an accredited program

Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice
