Job summary

Mountainside Nursing Home in Mountainside, NJ seeks a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support a licensed Physical Therapist in delivering patient-centered rehabilitation services to residents. The PTA will assist with exercises, transfers, and treatment plans while maintaining accurate records and collaborating with the care team.

The role requires completion of an accredited PTA program, NJ PTA certification, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited PTA program.
• Current NJ PTA certification.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and ambulate patients safely.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapist with patient evaluations and treatment plans.
• Provide treatment interventions, such as exercises and modalities.
• Monitor patient progress and report to the Physical Therapist.
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation.
• Maintain accurate records of patient treatment.
• Participate in staff meetings and in-service training.
