Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Oahu Visits team on the island of Oahu, Hawaii. The PTA will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to provide treatment, education, and interventions to clients in their homes.

Hawaii licensure is required; candidates should have a two-year PTA program and relevant experience. We offer competitive base pay and flexible schedules, with full-time opportunities available in Kailua and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from a two-year PTA program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is acceptable.
• Solid computer skills; EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be partnered with an experienced and supportive home health Physical Therapist.
• Assist clients in attaining or maintaining optimal physical wellbeing by providing treatment, tests, client education and appropriate interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized care plans including therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, and other interventions.
• Educate clients, family members, and other representatives in rehabilitative care to promote health and independence.
• Accurately document observations, interventions, and evaluations using a touch pad tablet.
