Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network, Inc. is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for Home Care on the Day Shift in Allentown. You will provide PT services under supervision, teaching patients exercises, gait training, and use of assistive devices to support mobility and independence.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, adjusting plans with the supervising PT, and ensuring safe, compassionate care across assigned locations. The role is onsite with per diem possibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in physical therapy assisting.
• Ability to train and mentor others.
• Ability to work at various locations per diem.
• Must be able to provide safe, compassionate, and competent PT treatments.

Responsibilities

• Provides appropriate physical therapy treatment to restore function and maximize performance.
• Uses teaching methods to instruct patients, families, and staff in exercises and mobility.
• Recommends modifications to treatment plans to achieve results.
• Applies modalities to aid recovery and pain relief.
• Completes and submits documentation per policies and regulations.
• Communicates with supervising PT regarding progress and concerns.
