Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Colorado is seeking a motivated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to help residents recover and regain independence after serious illness or injury. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will implement individualized therapy plans to improve mobility, balance and strength, and you will document all services for accurate billing.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Requires valid Physical Therapy Assistant license or certification in the state of practice, or proof of license eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support care to residents seeking short-term/transitional rehab to recover and rehabilitate.
  • Assist in providing appropriate aspects of quality patient care under the supervision of licensed therapists.
  • Document all services provided to ensure accurate and timely billing of therapy services.
  • Assures that patient care follows the established Plan of Care, organization guidelines, and complies with Federal and State laws.
  • Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, develops and implements individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce and enhance performance.
  • Identify need for and refer to other disciplines to address patient needs under supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Education
