Job summary

Synchrony Rehab in East Lansing, MI seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic interventions under the direction of a Physical Therapist. The PTA will work in an interdisciplinary setting, delivering treatments and monitoring patient progress within professional and ethical standards.

The role requires an PTA credential, active licensure in the state, and CPR certification (preferred).

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0-1 years.
• Must have and maintain a current, valid state PTA licensure or certification.
• Current CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
• Observe patient responses to therapy and report findings to the supervising PT.
• Document patient progress and maintain up-to-date records.
• Provide instructions to patients and families on exercises and home safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support the team with ongoing evaluation of patient needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
