Birmingham Rehabilitation and Wellness is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support our therapy team in improving strength, mobility, and independence for residents. You will implement PT plans, assist with transfers, and contribute to comprehensive care across rehab and long-term care settings.

New graduates are welcome; we value clear communication and a compassionate, hands-on approach to patient care and safety. This full-time role is on-site in Birmingham, AL.

Qualificações

• Active, unrestricted PTA license with the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong communication skills with older adults and team members.
• Ability to assist with transfers and lifting as required.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercise and gait/balance training.
• Work with short-term rehab and long-term care residents to improve strength and independence.
• Monitor and report progress to PT and nursing staff.
• Complete timely documentation meeting Medicare/Medicaid and facility requirements.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on safe mobility and fall prevention.
• Participate in care plan meetings and collaborate with care teams.
