Birmingham Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our hands-on therapy team. You’ll support the supervising PT with exercises, gait and balance training, transfers, and functional mobility.

Qualificações

• Current, unrestricted PTA license with the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong communication skills and a patient, encouraging approach with older adults.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist with transfers and lifting as required.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Assist with gait and balance training, transfers, and functional mobility.
• Monitor resident progress and report changes to PT and nursing staff.
• Document accurately for Medicare/Medicaid and facility requirements.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on safe mobility and fall prevention.
• Participate in care plan meetings and collaborate with other therapy disciplines.
• Follow infection control and safety policies.
