Job summary
US Rehabilitation & Health Services Inc. in Port Huron, MI is seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant for an entry-level role.
You will work under the supervising physical therapist to guide patients through therapeutic exercises and functional training, following the established plan to support recovery. You will document treatments, monitor progress, and educate patients and families on at-home routines to reinforce gains.
Qualifications
- Current Michigan State Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with diverse patients.
- Ability to stay organized and maintain accurate documentation.
- Travel between Dearborn, Port Huron, and Sterling Heights locations as needed.
- Preferred - Outpatient orthopedic experience.
- Preferred - Bilingual English and Arabic speaking skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising physical therapist with patient exercises and training.
- Document treatments and monitor patient responses to treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on at-home exercises to reinforce progress.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to maintain an efficient, high-quality care environment.
