Job summary

Alameda Elder Services seeks a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Alameda, CA team on a part-time, hourly basis. The PTA works under a licensed physical therapist to provide high-quality rehab services to our patients.

The role involves implementing treatment plans with exercises and therapeutic techniques, documenting progress, and coordinating care with other professionals. California PTA license and associate degree are required, along with FBI/DOJ fingerprint clearance.

Qualifications

• Valid California PTA license
• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
• Knowledge of and experience with various therapy techniques and equipment
• Fingerprint clearance from the FBI and DOJ

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment plans that include exercise, massage, and other therapeutic techniques
• Document patient progress and communicate updates to the treating physical therapist
• Maintain a clean and organized therapy area and monitor equipment inventory
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the patient receives well-rounded care
• Stay current with developments in the field of physical therapy and attend continuing education courses as needed

Job description

Alameda Elder Services is currently seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team full-time in Alameda, California. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to assist in providing high-quality physical therapy services to our patients. The PTA will work with a group of patients with varying needs and conditions.
This is a part-time, hourly position with a compensation of $40 per hour (DOE). We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
