Job summary

Greenbrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Palestine in Palestine, TX is seeking a Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team. You will provide person-centered care to help residents improve mobility, strength, and quality of life.

You will work under a Physical Therapist, document care, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to tailor plans and measure progress.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Respond to service requests by relaying information to the Physical Therapist.
• Modify patients' plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust approaches with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure timely and thorough documentation per policies and regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.
