Orchard View Post-Acute and Rehabilitation Center in Kingsport, TN is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to support residents' mobility and independence under a Physical Therapist. The PTA will implement treatment plans and monitor progress to help residents improve functional independence.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited PTA program with Tennessee licensure and strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills; long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current, unencumbered PTA license in the state of Tennessee.
• Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist, using appropriate therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Monitor resident responses to treatment and report changes to the PT.
• Assist with resident and family education regarding home exercise programs and safety.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of services provided.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident goals and discharge planning.
