Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a Skilled Nursing Facility assignment in Ohio. The position offers 13 weeks (with option to extend) or a permanent placement, with dayshift hours and a competitive hourly rate plus housing and travel stipends for travelers.

New grads are welcomed, and you’ll join a supportive team focused on improving mobility and functional independence for patients while receiving onboarding and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Active PTA license in the state of employment or ability to obtain.
• BLS/CPR certification current or ability to obtain.
• Current TB test/results and fitness for duty within past year.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing physical therapy services under PT direction.
• Implement individualized treatment plans to support patient goals.
• Focus on mobility, strength, balance and functional independence.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team for best outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on exercises and safety techniques.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
