Montgomery College in Takoma Park-Silver Spring seeks a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant faculty member to begin January 2027. The role emphasizes health science education and student success in a CAPTE-accredited program.

Responsibilities include teaching didactic, lab, and clinical courses, delivering 30 semester hours annually, and supporting accreditation activities. Faculty may teach in-person or online and may be assigned to different campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active PT license or PTA license required.
• Maryland license in good standing or eligible to obtain Maryland license.
• Three years full-time or equivalent post-licensure clinical experience.
• Experience using LMS for course delivery.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of didactic, laboratory, and clinical courses in the PTA program.
• Teach 30 semester hours per academic year.
• Participate in accreditation activities and standards.
• Engage in curriculum design, program evaluation, and outcomes assessment.
• Travel within DC, Maryland, and Virginia to clinical sites.
