Job summary

McHenry County College invites qualified instructors to join the Physical Therapy Assistant Program as adjunct faculty. Faculty will teach courses as assigned, including daytime, evening, and weekend offerings, and engage with students during conferences as needed.

Instructors contribute to program accreditation efforts, collaborate across the college, and stay current with regulations while assessing student learning and pursuing ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Course specific minimum qualifications are approved annually by the MCC Board of Trustees.
• Demonstrated teaching experience is preferred.
• Commitment to MCC's mission and to teaching a diverse student body.
• Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned by the College.
• Available to teach daytime, evening, and weekend classes.
• Be available for student conferences via college email or appointments.
• Participate in producing documentation relating to program accreditation standards.
• Work cooperatively within the department and College to promote educational excellence.
• Stay informed of external regulations impacting curriculum.
• Assess student learning and participate in PTA program assessment.
• Continue professional development in teaching/learning strategies.
• Maintain and submit accurate attendance records and paperwork.
