Job summary

Mantey Heights Rehabilitation and Care Center in Grand Junction, CO seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to carry out an individualized program of physical therapy, including assessment, treatment, planning, and education to maximize patient progress toward functional goals.

You will work under supervision of an Occupational Therapist, collaborate with the care team, document evaluations and plans, promote safety and compliance, and support residents and families through therapy progress.

Qualifications

• Care for physical and developmental needs of patients
• Remain calm in emergencies or crises
• Graduate of an APTA-approved PT program
• At least one year of experience as a physical therapy aide
• Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates functional needs and outcomes
• Designs and implements a plan of care based on assessment
• Directs support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals
• Communicates with other professionals to achieve positive patient outcomes
• Maintains documentation and records with updates
