Qualifications

• Knowledge and skills to care for the physical and developmental needs of residents.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies or crises.
• Graduate of an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program.
• At least one year of experience as a physical therapy aide.
• Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and evaluates functional needs to adjust plans.
• Designs and implements a plan of care based on assessment.
• Conducts therapy within defined standards of care.
• Directs support staff to achieve patient goals.
• Communicates with other staff to improve outcomes.
• Maintains documentation of evaluations, goals, and plans.
