Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the applicable state.
• American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in providing therapy procedures and related tasks as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Document patient progress notes.
• Modify a specific treatment procedure within the established plan as patient status changes.
• Provide technical assistance and direction to the Physical Therapy aide and coordinate department workload.
• Address appropriately the age-specific needs for all patients and maintain patient safety.
