Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited PTA program.
• State licensure or certification as PTA.
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in therapeutic exercises and treatment modalities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Detail-oriented with good documentation and reporting skills.
• Experience as PTA in a clinical setting preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing PT-designed treatment plans.
• Communicate with PTs regularly regarding patient progress.
• Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises and activities.
• Monitor patient progress and responses to treatments.
• Ensure patients attend and stay compliant with appointments.
• Aide in administering therapeutic interventions (ultrasound, electrotherapy).
• Set up and maintain therapy equipment.
• Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes.
• Educate patients and families on exercises, home care routines.
• Collaborate with PTs and other professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
