Talin Home Healthcare LLC in Northern Virginia is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our home health team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients regain mobility and improve function in their homes.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, accurate documentation, infection control, and collaboration with the clinical team to deliver skilled services across diverse populations, including geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in good standing.
• Ability to work in patients' homes and travel between locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans for patients with various conditions.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.

This role is essential in helping patients regain mobility and improve their overall physical function.

Duties

• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, techniques, and strategies to enhance recovery.

• Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively assist in patient treatment.
• Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices.
• Experience or knowledge in specific areas such as outpatient services, inpatient care, skilled nursing facilities, and geriatrics.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations, including children and elderly individuals.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while providing high-quality patient care.
