Job summary

Avant Rehab & Care Center seeks a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team of health professionals in providing excellent care in our facility. PRN opportunities available.

The successful candidate will assist in evaluating Residents, developing treatment plans, and supporting daily activities to help Residents live more independently. Requirements include an active New Jersey PTA license with preferred experience in long-term-care settings.

Qualifications

• Current New Jersey PTA license required.
• Experience in long-term-care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating Residents & developing a treatment plan.
• Assist in activities to help Residents carry out daily tasks independently.
• Assist in monitoring Residents as they carry out tasks.
• Assist in rehabilitating Residents post-injury or illness.
• Assist in maintaining Resident confidence by handling confidential information.
• Assist in maintaining a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating Residents & developing a treatment plan that will meet their needs.
• Assist in activities that will help the Residents to carry out their daily works independently.
• Assist in monitoring Residents as they carry out the task given to them.
• Assist in rehabilitating Residents who have been disabled as a result of injury, illness, or other problems.
• Assist in maintaining Resident confidence by monitoring confidential information processing.
• Assist in maintaining a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams & contributes to the team effort.

Requirements

• Current New Jersey PTA License
• Experience in Long-term-care settings preferred
