Job summary

Traditions-At-Beaumont is seeking a PT Weekend Activities Assistant to create joy and connection for residents in a warm senior living community. You will attend or lead activities, coordinate supplies, and implement the monthly activity calendar with diverse options.

You will also tailor programs to residents' interests and collaborate with volunteers and families to maximize participation. The role emphasizes communication, organization, and a friendly, supportive environment where residents

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Attending or leading activities to ensure that events go smoothly.
• Ensures activity supplies are available for scheduled activity.
• Organizes, initiates, and executes the monthly activity calendar with varied activities.
• Follows the monthly activity calendar for residents based on the results of the residents’ Social Interest Inventories, varied
• backgrounds, needs, and enjoyment.
• Honors the residents’ Preferences and Social Interest Inventory.
• Collaborates with volunteers to expand and supplement the activity program while including the largest number of residents possible.
• Involves resident families, the community, and volunteers in activities to help the resident transition and maintain a satisfying
• well being and positive state of mind.
• Encourages residents to participate in meaningful activities.
• Maintains all activity areas in a neat and orderly manner.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively before residents or coworkers.
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
• Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
