Job summary

Traditions at North Willow is seeking an Activities Assistant to enrich residents' lives through creative planning and engaging activities. You will brainstorm, lead, and coordinate events, while supporting families during visits and collaborating with vendors to ensure smooth experiences.

The role focuses on thoughtful programming, clear communication, and meticulous record-keeping, with preferred CPR knowledge to respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to interact positively with staff and participants.
• Computer skills to use email, word processing, record keeping and spreadsheet software.
• Problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles before and during activities.
• Written communication to compile participant surveys and reports.
• Preferred CPR knowledge and basic first aid.

Activities Assistant Duties and Responsibilities:

• Brainstorming ideas for activities
• Facilitating activities that bring joy and purpose to our residents' lives
• Working with families to assist them in having a fulfilling visit with their loved one
• Attending or leading activities to ensure that events go smoothly
• Working with vendors to provide food, music, supplies and services for activities as needed
• Soliciting feedback from participants to identify what worked well and what areas of improvement exist
• Keeping detailed records of activities to track participation rates

Activities Assistant Qualifications and Skills:

• Creative thinking skills to continuously plan unique events
