Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a Part-time Anatomy & Physiology Tutor to conduct tutoring sessions face-to-face, virtually, and asynchronously. You will help students become independent, successful learners and master course concepts across biology, chemistry, anatomy and physiology, and related subjects.

Responsibilities include tutoring in Ivy Tech courses, guiding software use, keeping tutoring records, and communicating with instructors about student needs and course changes.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree preferred in mathematics, science or related field.
• Computer literacy and knowledge in word processing programs required.
• Working understanding of college level skills needed by students.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Knows and can utilize training provided in tutoring Ivy Tech courses.

The part time Anatomy & Physiology Tutor is responsible for conducting tutoring sessions with Ivy Tech students face-to-face, virtually, and asynchronouslyMajor Responsibilities:• Provides individualized and group tutoring in a manner that empowers students to become independent, successful learners.• Provides tutoring in Ivy Tech courses with special concentrations in science, technology, and/or math, including remedial mathematics, advanced mathematics, chemistry, biology, anatomy and physiology, accounting, business applications, and other technology fields.• Teaches and assists students in the use of computer software.• Guides and instructs students in the use of software programs and/or web-based applications directly related to Ivy Tech coursework.• Maintains tutoring records for each student.• Interacts with instructors as to student needs, topics tutored, course changes, and new text book adoptions.The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list.
