Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Columbus, Indiana seeks a part-time math tutor to bridge gaps between instructors and students. You will provide small group and one-on-one tutoring in college algebra, finite, and quantitative reasoning, with calculus preferred.

A math tutor at Ivy Tech Community College serves as a bridge between the instructor and the student, helping to close the gap in understanding and improve academic performance. Their role is both academic and supportive, and the justification for having one can be built on several key points.Maintain consistency in availability to provide small group and one-on-one tutoring services to meet the demands and needs of students.Define and follow through with each student on stated objectives and tutoring goals. Provides tutoring in college algebra, finite, and quantitative reasoning.
