Job summary

Food Lion in Statesville, NC seeks a Store Associate to provide quality customer service in the Center Store department and help maximize sales while minimizing shrink. You will follow standard practices and support inventory, pricing, and shelf presentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive shopping experience with fast, friendly and accurate customer service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Maintain merchandise levels and backroom inventory according to standard practice and plan-o-grams.
• Keep shelf allocations aligned to plan-o-grams and ensure stock is properly stocked.
• Maintain back stock and assist with new items and tag placement within a week of receipt.
• Handle ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and display of merchandise per policies.
• Use company tools such as ACIS and CAO to manage inventory and orders.
• Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and food safety/ workplace safety procedures.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions; report accidents to the manager.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Wear Food Lion uniform and name badge; maintain neat appearance per dress code.
• Complete CBT, training packets and courses as required.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
