Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Store Associate to provide quality customer service within the Center Store (Grocery) Department. You will maintain standards from the standard practice manual, maximize sales through excellent service, and minimize shrink through proper utilization of procedures.

You will manage inventory, shelf conditions, plan-o-grams, and ensure timely ordering, receiving, and display of merchandise while following Food Lion guidelines and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Maintain proper product levels and shelf conditions according to plan.
• Follow plan-o-grams for product placement and shelf allocations.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying meet policies and guidelines.
• Adhere to Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Report accidents to the Manager on Duty and follow company procedures.
