A sales associate is responsible for handling various sales activities in a retail store, including facilitating purchases and providing customer service. The specific duties and responsibilities of a sales associate typically include:

1. Greeting customers when they walk through the door.
2. Inviting customers to join our loyalty program.
3. Assisting in maintaining the back stock room and setting up merchandise displays on the sales floor.
4. Working with co-workers to keep the sales floor area clean and organized.
5. Assisting customers in fitting rooms as needed.
6. Cleaning shelves, counters, tables, racks, fixtures, employee restrooms, stockroom, break room, and sweeping or mopping when assigned.
7. Answering customer questions and consulting a manager if needed.
8. Assisting in processing and replenishing merchandise.
9. Participating in preparation for cycle counts.
