A Sales/Cashier is primarily responsible for helping customers with payment and packaging as they complete their purchases. They are often the first store staff that customers encounter, making it vital to do more than just ring up sales. Cashiers should be knowledgeable about the store's merchandise and cheerful when answering customer questions. This helps improve their visit by making the store a warm and welcoming place to shop, contributing to the great in-store customer experience.

Abilities

• Greet customers when entering or leaving the store.
• Accurately and efficiently operate registers and maintain all cash and media at the registers.
• Maintain an orderly appearance of the cash wrap.
• Receive payment by cash, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits.
• Communicate the MStyle Loyalty Program to customers and encourage sign-up.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers.
• Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure accuracy and sufficient change.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and general housekeeping when requested by management.
• Help process and replenish merchandise.
• Participate in preparation for cycle counts.
• Assist customers in fitting rooms as needed.
• Answer customer questions and escalate to a manager if necessary.
• Clean shelves, counters, tables, racks, fixtures, employee restroom, stockroom, and break room; sweep or mop as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications include basic PC knowledge, familiarity with electronic equipment such as scanners and cash registers, a customer satisfaction-oriented attitude, basic math skills, dependability in attendance and cash drawer management, a positive attitude to enhance the customer experience, and flexibility to work on a varying schedule.
