Job summary

The Grand Pavilion for Rehabilitation and Nursing at Rockville Center in New Jersey is seeking a part-time Respiratory Therapist to join our skilled nursing team. Candidates must hold a state license and be able to evaluate and treat residents independently, with a strong passion for geriatric care.

You will perform bedside treatments, document thoroughly, participate in IDT meetings, and assist nursing staff through quarterly in-services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a COARC-accredited AS or BS Respiratory Therapy program.
• Licensed as RRT or CRT in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required by facility policy.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and implement respiratory techniques to progress rehab patients with various respiratory and non-respiratory illnesses.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment.
• Perform bedside treatments and document outcomes daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Attend IDT meetings and support nursing staff through in-services each quarter.
• Track, audit, and manage caseload; ensure compliance with facility procedures.
• Respond to changes in patient status and adjust therapy plans accordingly.

Respiratory Therapist (RT)

Looking for a part time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for geriatric population, must contain a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and posses the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents improve in their experience.

Job Description

• Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with many different Respiratory illness/diseases and non respiratory illness.
• Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment
• Complete a variety of bedside treatments
• Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter
• Responsible for completing daily, weekly and monthly documentation
• Attend applicable IDT meetings
• Experience with tracheotomy
• Experience is a long term care setting
• Follow procedure and protocol of facility
• Completes tracking, auditing and caseload management
• Performs related duties as required

Qualifications/Requirements

• Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT.
• Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.

Salary: $37 to $45 an hour

Schedule

• This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
  • 4- 6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload
  • Saturday and Sunday
