Job summary

HIT Inc. at Dakota Pointe is seeking a Resident Assistant to help residents live independently and comfortably while building meaningful relationships daily.

You will assist with daily activities, observe health changes, and support wellness routines in a warm, person-centered setting. This full-time role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and teamwork, with flexible scheduling and benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
  • Nurse Aide certification if required by assignment.
  • Medication Assistant 1 certification if required by assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily activities: bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, mobility, and personal care.
  • Support residents with medications, exercise, and wellness routines as trained.
  • Encourage independence, dignity, and choice while providing person-centered care.
  • Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and maintaining a clean, welcoming home.
  • Accompany residents on outings, appointments, shopping, and recreational activities.
  • Observe and report changes in health or behavior to nursing staff.
  • Complete documentation and follow safety, infection control, and confidentiality guidelines.
