Pay Range

This range is provided by the City of Lancaster, TX. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range: $16.00/hr - $16.00/hr

Summary

Provides customer service to patrons in person and by telephone, answering questions and assisting with registration and facility reservations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Facilitate customer relations with a positive, professional attitude and tact.
2. Provide information to the public by answering phone and emails and responding to requests.
3. Promote, implement, and assist with recreational activities, including youth programs, athletic leagues and tournaments, adult and senior programs, and special events.
4. Assist with programs and events by registering patrons for classes and events, entering or documenting registrations, setting up equipment or supplies, and completing clean-up activities.
5. Provide customer service and respond to routine inquiries regarding the city’s recreation and park facilities, services, and programs.
6. Document and enter payments, prepare receipts and cash reports, secure receipts and payments for processing and scheduling of activities.
7. Facilitate equipment check out of recreation, leisure, and athletic equipment, documenting check out and return, and ensuring all equipment is used safely.
8. Carry out additional duties as assigned.
9. Assist in coordinating recreation and/or other special events hosted by the city.
10. Process participant registration for various recreation classes and activities, including receiving and processing fees.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience

Must be at least 18 years old. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Prefer at least one year of experience with Community Pass and 6 months of cash handling experience.
