Primary Purpose:

Perform duties to maintain department appearance, quality, variety, safety, and food safety standards. Support Hannaford's strategy by building customer relations and providing enthusiastic service.

Qualifications:

• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 50 lb. most of the time; 75 lb. on occasion.
• Reach shoulder level or above while lifting 30 lbs.
• Stand and walk continuously.
• Meet activity standards for the department.
• Perform bending, reaching, grasping, and lifting at waist level.
• Use hands for feeling objects and handling tools.
• Handle substances related to cleaning, packaging, and food products.
• Tolerate working in cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes.

Preferred Requirements:

• Assist customers with product location and selection.
• Stock, cull, and rotate products per guidelines.
• Prepare products according to standards (trim, crisp, package, etc.).
• Perform cleaning functions as per policy.
• Maintain high product quality standards.
• Meet productivity standards.
• Develop product knowledge across the department.
• Contribute to a positive team environment by recognizing achievements and embodying key behaviors.
• Assist in training other associates.
• Meet physical requirements with or without accommodations.

Salary range: $15.00 - $19.65 hourly.
