Primary Purpose:

Perform duties to ensure the department's appearance, quality, variety, safety, and food safety are maintained at high standards. Support Hannaford's strategy, build customer relations, and provide enthusiastic customer service.

Qualifications:

• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Physical Requirements:

• Lift up to 50 lbs. most of the time, with occasional lifting of 75 lbs.
• Reach shoulder level or above while lifting 30 lbs. on occasion.
• Stand and walk continuously.
• Meet activity standards for the department.
• Bend, reach, grasp, and lift produce items frequently.
• Handle various substances related to cleaning, packaging, and food products.
• Work in cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes.

Preferred Requirements:

• Assist customers in locating and selecting products.
• Perform stocking, culling, and rotation according to guidelines.
• Prepare products (trim, crisp, package, etc.) to standards.
• Maintain cleanliness per company policy.
• Adhere to quality standards and achieve productivity goals.
• Develop product knowledge across the department.
• Contribute positively by recognizing accomplishments and embodying key behaviors.
• Assist in training and perform other assigned functions.
• Meet physical requirements with or without accommodations.

Salary Range:

$15.00 - $19.65 per hour
