PRIMARY PURPOSE

Perform duties to maintain department appearance, quality, variety, safety, and food safety at the highest level. Support Hannaford's strategy, build customer relations, and provide enthusiastic customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Effective communication, customer service, and selling skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Must meet minimum age requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lb. frequently, 75 lb. on occasion.
• Reach shoulder level or above while lifting 30 lbs.
• Stand and walk continuously.
• Meet activity standards for the department.
• Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and lifting at or above waist level.
• Use hands to feel objects and tools for opening boxes or preparing produce.
• Handle various substances related to cleaning, packaging, and food products.
• Tolerate working in cold temperatures for up to 20 minutes.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Greet and assist customers with products.
• Perform stocking, culling, and rotation according to guidelines.
• Prepare products according to standards.
• Maintain cleanliness per policy.
• Adhere to quality standards and achieve productivity goals.
• Develop product knowledge across the department.

• Assist in training associates and perform other duties as assigned.

Salary range: $15.00 - $19.65 hourly.
