Job summary

Mt. Prospect Park District is seeking a part-time Substitute Preschool/KinderKlub Assistant to assist with teaching preschool/kindergarten children and to help plan, organize, and implement daily activities. Starting pay is $16.00+ per hour, with facility privileges for employees.

The position requires a High School diploma with early childhood experience and the ability to pass a criminal background check. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM–4:15 PM, with flexible substitute scheduling as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have prior early childhood experience.
• Substitute hours vary but include any day/time, Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM–4:15 PM.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in supervision of activities and classroom preparation.
• Provide developmentally appropriate activities for ages 2.5–5.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Interact with parents and staff to support children’s learning.
• Attend staff meetings and events as scheduled.
