Job summary

Mt. Prospect Park District is seeking a part-time Substitute Preschool/KinderKlub Assistant to support teaching preschool/kindergarten children and help plan daily activities. The role requires successfully passing a criminal background check and will primarily fill in as needed, Monday–Friday, 8:45 AM – 4:15 PM.

The starting pay is $16.00 per hour, plus facility privileges for Park District employees. This position is part of the Early Childhood & Youth team and supports engaging, multi-age

Qualifications

• High School diploma required with early childhood experience.
• Substitute hours vary including Monday-Friday, 8:45 AM - 4:15 PM.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher in supervision of activities and classroom preparation.
• Support development of age-appropriate activities for 2.5–5-year-olds.
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming classroom environment.
• Attend staff meetings and events as scheduled.
• Perform duties as assigned by the Youth Program Supervisor and Manager.
