Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Physical Therapist to help patients heal where they feel most comfortable—at home. This full-time role offers attractive pay and mileage reimbursement, plus options like telehealth and up to $1,000 toward healthcare with an HSA plan.

You will provide interventions, reexaminations, and discharge planning to improve movement and function. Qualifications include a state license, CAPTE-accredited program, 1 year of home health experience (with mentoring if less), and CPR

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you're assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by CAPTE.
• One year related physical therapy experience for home health care or approval from regional clinical leaders if less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for helping patients maintain, restore and improve movement, activity and function.
• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

• $104,520 - $124,800 Annually (Converting to Per Visit)

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
